Documentation + User Guide
Concept differences:
In general, the game has been largely simplified due to the time and skill constraints.
- the rogue-like element has been reduced to a set format
- the limited visibility effect mentioned previously has not been put in in the final version - players can see the entire maze from the beginning
- the item shop system was also not incorporated as setting up the main game took up all the time I had
Testing summary:
- 75% of respondents were able understand how to play the game without instruction. To support those who might not be able to and to increase playability, instructions with larger text and more labelling within the game have been incorporated.
- 87.5% of respondents liked the art style so that has been maintained.
- It came to a 50-50 vote when respondents were asked if they preferred a fixed or random enemy attack number (fixed making it easier for players to calculate and random giving players the element of fun and surprise). I decided upon a fixed number in the end in favour of ease of playing.
- It was observed that some players were unable to exit the battle (an overlook on my part) therefore an exit function has been added.
- Bugs mentioned such as character vibrating when touching the walls and ability to change enemy health by dragging the slider have since been fixed.
- A recurring suggestion was to speed up the movement as it was too sluggish; this has also been adjusted.
- Music and sound effects have also been added to create an atmosphere that is more fun and immersive.

User guide & explanations:
Name of game: Little Little Fighter (Escape from the maze)
Fight enemies to escape from the maze!
From the main page/title screen, players can access the game, instructions and set up options.
Set-up options are mainly acoustic which players can adjust to their liking. A simple click on the back arrow brings players back to the previous screen.
Instructions are available at the start of the game along with various prompts within it.
Players manoeuvre around the maze using the WASD keys. Number of step/health available, level of attack and defence are clearly shown at the top of the screen for easy reference. A click on the cross exits the game.
Moving over shoes in the maze increases the number of steps/health available.
In combat, clicking on the enemy initiates attack while clicking on self increases defence against enemy attack. Health bar and stats of enemy are clearly shown at the top of the screen with its level of attack and defence shown directly below it while player stats are shown below the player on the screen.
Attempted features:
- limited visibility in the maze
